Carnmore Struggle in SHC

Carnmore were defeated 3.18 - 1.11 in Round 3 of the SHC on Sunday last after a hard fought battle with Ardrahan. Carnmore started the better of the two sides and held an early lead. It took an Ardrahan goal midway through the half to swing the emphasis in their favour to go in at the break 1.9 - 0.8 ahead. With the aid of a strong breeze in the second half Ardrahan begin to slowly turn the screw and wrapped up the result with two goals in quick succession. Carnmore play Tynagh Abbey Duniry in July.

U14s Defeated In Shield Final Replay

Carnmore lost out in their bid for Shield silverware when they were defeated 2.4 to 0.7 by Ballinasloe. In a game that was evenly balanced through out it was Ballinasloe's ability to net goals at the crucial times which saw them over the line.

Juniors Pick Up Another Win

Carnmore registered another good result in the Junior B Championship with a 1.18 to 2.7 victory over Kilconieron. This result leaves Carnmore in a strong position going into the next round of games and with plenty of confidence for such a young team.

National School Girls Are All-Ireland Soccer Champions

Carnmore National School made history by winning the FAI All Ireland Primary Schools Girls competiton in the Aviva Stadium. This is a monumental achievement for the school and the girls. Congratulations to all involved.
