Success for U14s in Regional Limerick Feile

Carnmore continued their historic year with more success as they captured their regional Feile title in Limerick last weekend. The Limerick Feile played host to teams from across Ireland who had finished runner up in their respective counties. Carnmore defeated Kilkenny's James Stephans 1.08 to 0.05 in the final. What an end to a huge year where Carnmore won their first ever U14 A title and now take silverware at a national level.

Carnmore Girls reach Regional Dublin Feile Final

Carnmore where in Dublin where they played their way all the way to the final where they were defeated by Cork's Ballinora after a titanic effort. This was the club's first National Fele Final appearance and we are all hugely proud of the girl's and management's achievements.

Junior A's narrowly lose out

Carnmore were narrowly deafeated in their opening game of the JAHC in Turloughmore on Thursday evening last. After a fanastic start Carnmore were reeled in by a strong Athenry fight back. While the scores remained close throughout Athenry keeped their noses in front and ran out four point winners.

Carnmore Power to First U14 'A' Championship

Carnmore secured the club's first ever County U14 Championship at A grade with a dominent 3.12 to 1.8 vicotry over Athenry in Kenny Park on Monday evening. Having lost out by a single point to Athenry in the Feile decider in April Carnmore would not be denied twice as they produced a clinical and demanding performance from the start. Carnmore conceded a very early goal but replied immediately with 1.02 and from here Athenry would not lead again as Carnmore powered on to lead 2.10 to 1.05 at the break. Carnmore were pressured in the second half as Athenry mounted a comeback but Carnmore would not bend or break and finished the game with 1.02 to secure a well deserved and long awaited title.

U14s Secure County Final Spot

Two goals in as many minutes saw Carnmore come from behind to defeat Loughrea 2.08 to 2.04 in Kenny Park on Monday evening. Trailing at the half and pushed all the way by a Loughrea team who won the group stage encounter only a fortnight previous Carnmore had to recover from two early goals with a huge second half display to book their place in the decider where they will face Athenry.

Carnmore Push Mullagh in RD4

Carnmore took on an unbeaten Mullagh in Rd4 of the SHC on Saturday last. A strong start saw Carnmore lead 0.06 to 0.04 after twenty minutes after a Martin Kelly goal was disallowed. Mullagh rallied to dominate the remainder of the half to lead 1.10 to 0.07 at the break. Mullagh kept a comfortable margin for most of the second period but Carnmore continued to chip away and came on strong in the closing stages adding 1.03 without reply to leave four in it at the end. Carnmore Family Fun Day

Carnmore GAA Club would like to thank everyone who supported our Family Fun Day on Sunday last. Despite the damp weather conditions a great day was had by all. A big crowd was on hand for the official opening and blessing of our new stand and for the over 40's hurling competition where Carnmore, Turloughmore, Abbeyknockmoy and Castlegar took part. Carnmore also played Turloughmore in the over 30's camogie game all in aid of Croi. We had tree planting along our new walkway with over 100 trees sold and planted. U16s Break Even After Four Games

With four Championship games played Carnmore have come away with four points with wins vs Sylane and Cois Farraige after a disapointing opening round defeat to Ahascragh-Fohenigh. With three games remaining Carnmore are still well placed to contend for qualification.

Camogie Club Table Quiz a Big Success

Carnmore Camogie Club hedl their annual Table Quiz in Grealish's Bar on Saturday night last. With a big crowd in attendance for what was a night full of craic and banter. The team of Kevin Killilea, Michael Killilea, Kevin O'Dowd and Alan Traynor scooped the first price. A super night was had by all and and we would to thank everyone for their continued support.
